Laos Nam Ngum 6 Hydroelectric Station Project

The Laos Nam Ngum 6 Hydroelectric Station is located in Phongsali Province, Laos. It is 27km away from Phongsali city   highway, 828km from Vientiane highway, and 1040 km from Kunming highway in China.

Built for electricity generation, Laos Nam Ngum 6 Hydroelectric Station is a second-rank hydro project, having a 96m dam, 180mw total installed power capacity, a 490m dead storage level of the dam, a 510m normal storage level. Because the cap-acity is 4.09×108m3 and the adjustment capacity is 2.46×108m3, the dam is seasonally adjusted.

The pivotal project includes a composite geo-membrane rock-filled dam, spillway, diversion tunnel and hydropower station system.
